Weekly adoption events
You can meet most of our adoptable dogs at our weekly adoption events. We always have a Saturday adoption event and some weeks have events on other days too.
Fundraising events
September Pups & Pours (Sept 6, 2025 from 4-8pm): Our Bark & Brewfest has been renamed because this event has been turned into a BLOCK PARTY! We will be back at Trinity Health Stadium again with samplings from your favorite local breweries, distilleries and wineries, live music, puppy cuddling, raffles, food trucks and more. Buy your tickets for just $40 before we sell out!
Hartford Marathon (Oct. 11): Dog Star Rescue is an official gold charity of the Hartford Marathon. Run a 5K, half marathon or full marathon and help us save dog’s lives. Sign up now (or if you previously signed up just log in and affiliate your sign up with our charity).
October Cornhole Tournament (Oct. 26, 2025 at 10am): Our popular Cornhole fundraiser is back at the Truck Bar in Berlin, CT. Competitive and social teams welcome. Buy your tickets now!
Build a Home Bowl-a-Thon (Nov. 16, 2025 – 4pm): Help raise money for our new headquarters while having fun bowling at Spare Time Bowling in Windsor Locks. This is a great, family friendly event timed nicely when the weather keeps us inside more! Tickets are on sale now!
